August holds a specific significance in the consciousness of our nation,
It is that time of the year, where we give more prominence than any other month to the resilience, courageousness and steadfastness of women – the torch bearers of our dreams and aspirations!

Women have traversed a long, tortuous and very painful journey in their unwavering struggle to restore their rightful place in the society.
Women are agents of social cohesion and harmony.
They are also pioneers within our communities of the virtues of discipline, respect, honesty and integrity.
