When placed in a position of power by those who believe in your qualities as a leader, it is your responsibility to live up to the promises made and the role you occupy, not to get comfortable in a seat that has a duration to it – because the thirsty ones are always on the lookout for a new supplier and if your love for power and all things leadership is exposed you become a part of them.
Those who once once put their hope in you slowly remove themselves from you and every other opportunist links up with you, not because you are a leader but have been blinded by a power that was never yours to abuse and they see an opportunity to quench their thirst and hunger for the goodies that come with the responsibility of leadership.
When the higher ups call you out on it, instead of resorting to wasting tears why not listen to what they have to say? Or is that one who groomed you to be like the rest of the vultures going to be mad at you for showing an interest in wanting to right the wrongs committed under your leadership? Why destroy the work of those who came before you for the sake of a love that is far from being genuine? A love that led to you neglecting your responsibility and ignoring the cries of those who once looked up to you? A love that destroyed every genuine association you had? A love that encourages you to lie to get what you want and abuse the little trust your people have in you? A love that has you undermining those around you to the extent of exposing your wickedness all in the name of justifying the rubbish?
Stop enjoying your happy meal when you got it at the expense of destroying a structure that was once solid. This is not about you but serving those who put their faith in you, that vulture really had you thinking you’re Beyoncé and you basked in that glory without calculating things properly. Instead of shining like Bey, we have you twitching like a christmas light with a weak battery… which is unfortunate because we really believed in you when you stood alone without any support from that vile beast who destroys roses like yourself.
Do not allow a vulture the advantage of destroying what you once called a home, it wants what it wants not what you need. There is still time, but the damage caused shall take more than just afew months to repair including the trust that was broken.
Leadership is not a luxury, it isn’t a privelage but a responsibility. We must refrain from viewing it from a lens that is used by thieves in suits or the creators of the actual system itself. Because that definition is not for sons and daughters of the mother continent!
