It has been 5 years since the little girl’s passing which opened the door for other heartless monsters to continue with this evil. It also exposed the rot in the system you claim to be a representative of.
Mbali Mtshali who was only 13 years old when she was violated and murdered by her mother’s boyfriend, is yet to receive justice because you don’t think her case is important. That’s a bummer because you paraded yourselves as the justice league when her story broke out, and you personally contacted the ward committee availing yourself because’ It is not fair’ only for you to cancel at the last minute due to some commitments…I don’t know why you bothered or was it due to the elections and the votes you so desperately needed? When you chose not to show up, the same police sat down and folded their arms…laughing at the community members for taking to the street to demand for this little girl’s justice – her killer continues to roam around freely which makes this world less safe for the little ones. Why commit yourself to a cause you know you don’t align with?
Why waste your energy on maintaining a system that has destroyed our communities? If it isn’t the lack of urgency in the SAPS it’s them protecting those they should be jailing because they can, despite the lie you have us believing about gathering facts and evidence to build up a case. You deliberately starve those who are good at what they do, and empower the corrupt ones because their deeds fund your lifestyle and that of your associates. I would be lying if I said we still have faith in you, how if we can’t find it in us to trust you?
